For the last decade Mountain Heather has been laying low on the hat scene, working on other projects like building a sewing studio for hat production. With the new studio came dreams of a fresh start in 2020, full of shows and building new relationships with stores. Instead…COVID. I made face masks for 3 months. I created an online store and try to keep that full of a great selection of hats.

I set up the Mountain Heather booth at the Tanana Valley Farmers Market a few times during the 2021 summer. I hope to do more of that in the summer of 2022. I especially like to set in the fall time.

University of Alaska Fairbanks Museum of the North carries its own line of Alaska Range Hats. The Alaska Range Hats have the same signature Mountain Heather appliqued mountain-scape design; however, these specifically depict the Alaska Range mountains: Mount Hayes, Hess Mountain, Mount Deborah, and Denali. The museum has Alaska Range Hats year-round in a variety of typical Mountain Heather styles and colors.

Cabin Fever is a well established gift store in downtown Anchorage with a great selection of Alaskan artwork. They are the first to carry the new Adjustable Original. They also have Headbands and Fleece Basball Hats.

The charming Spirit Mountain Artworks is in historic downtown Chitina, Alaska. They are open in the summer and often have a well rounded selection of Mountain Heather hats along with other Alaskan artists work.
